Care for Heart’s treatment is fully covered by health insurance provided the patient has a referral letter from their physician or GP.

Information for the patient
In order to provide you with fast and effective treatment, we urgently request you to bring the following items with you: 
. Referral letter
. Insurance card
. Proof of identity
. Medication list
. Lab results

Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes in case a stress test is required. Wearing sports clothing is also a good idea.
Furthermore, please don’t use any body lotion or greasy creams on the day of your consultation.

Information for GP and other referral providers
Booking an appointment for your patient is easy and can be done by telephone, fax or e-mail. Patients can also call for an appointment themselves.
There are no waiting lists. At your request, the patient can be seen on the same day if necessary. We report back within a few days. If a cardiovascular disease or cause is ruled out, the patient will be returned back to you.

More complex cardiovascular problems can be fully analyzed as our outpatient clinic is well equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including extensive stress test equipment, echocardiography, various forms of arrhythmia research and chemical laboratory facilities. Observation and treatment is also possible in our short stay facility.

In case of extensive interventions, Care for Heart collaborates with ’t Lange Land Hospital in Zoetermeer, the Groene Hart Hospital in Gouda, LUMC in Leiden, Haga Hospital in The Hague and Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam.

Consultation with the cardiologist on duty is possible at any time. We are open to every form of collaboration and service. We can also assess your ECGs. Here too, we provide a fast service. Telephone conferencing is also possible. In addition, Care for Heart offers accredited education and refresher courses for GPs, such as basic ECG training and various cardiac courses which are organised with the WDH (Working Group on Increased Expertise for GPs).
